On the evening of June 23, the Standing Committee of the Quzhou’s Municipal Party Committee held a meeting to convey the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speech at the 30th group study session of the Political Bureau of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the important instructions on deepening East-West collaboration and aid work, as well as the spirit of the National East-West Collaboration Work Conference. The relevant policies for the implementation of the spirit and instructions on the municipal level were also discussed.

The Municipal Party Secretary Mr. Tang Feifan presided over the meeting. It was agreed that President Xi Jinping's important speech at the thirtieth group study session of the Political Bureau of the 19th CPC Central Committee serves as the new starting point of the Party's 100-year history, offering us profound insights into the domestic and international situation, comprehensive and systematic interpretation as well as significant deployment for enhancing China’s capacities of international publicity and communication. President Xi’s speech is an instrumental guide for the overseas publicity work against the new circumstances. Furthermore, it is emphasized during the meeting that we should learn and understand the spirit of the President Xi's important speech, constantly improve our political judgment, political comprehension and political execution, always keeping the "two big situations" and the “great nation” in mind, and enhance our sense of mission and responsibility to improve our international publicity work against the new circumstances. We will make our own bit to present a real, three-dimensional and comprehensive image of China, to shape a credible, lovely and respectable image of China. We should incorporate improving one’s international communication ability into the ideological work responsibility system of the party committee, make building a team of international communication specialists an important part of the "two special projects". We should effectively concentrate on the education and training of cadres, focus on mobilizing the power of multiple subjects, and strive to improve our communication ability and level on the international stage. We should fully explore and make use of the city's cultural resources, such as the Confucius culture, GO culture, Mao’s culture and acupuncture culture, promote our local excellent culture as well as introduce new cultures at the same time. We should promote Quzhou's long history and rich culture on all sides, and speed up the building of the city’s brand as a cultural highland; vigorously promote Quzhou's glorious revolutionary tradition, red cultures, and the great achievements made by people in Quzhou under the leadership of the the Party and increase the appeal and influence of the "Quzhou story" and the international visibility of Quzhou.

Furthermore, It was mentioned that the study tour to Mianyang, Sichuan Province, the delegation witnessed the historic achievements and changes in Beichuan and Pingwu, and experienced first-hand local governments and people’s expectations for deepening East-West cooperation and exchange and felt more deeply the power of President Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the political advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. It was pointed out that we must resolutely follow through the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important instructions and the Party Central Committee's decision and deployment on East-West collaboration, effectively take up the political responsibility of East-West collaboration, make every effort to implement the cooperation agreements reached during the visit, strengthen the docking and innovative initiatives, and carry out more targeted and effective cooperation. At the same time, we should learn from Mianyang's good experience and practices in science and technology innovation, high-tech industry development and so on, to promote the complementary advantages of two cities so as to achieve a win-win cooperation.
