Quzhou and Sumgayit, Azerbaijan

Headed by Huang Huirong¨DSecretary of the Municipal CPC Discipline Inspection Commission, Quzhou Governmental Delegation went to Sumgayit, Azerbaijan, Vanadzor, Armenia and Kutaisi, Georgia for goodwill visits and observation. They signed the Memorandum for the Future Establishment of Friendly Relationship between Quzhou, the People's Republic of China and Sumgayit, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
November 2001
A governmental delegation from Sumgayit, Azerbaijan visited Quzhou and signed The Intent Agreement for the Establishment of Friendship Sity Relationship between Quzhou, the People's Republic of China and Sumgayit, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
November 2002
Approved by the Chinese People¡¯s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries(CPAFFC), Quzhou and Sumgayit established a formal friendship city relationshipin November by signing an agreement.
November 2-7,2003
A governmental delegation from Sumgayit paid a 1 week visit to Quzhou. The two cities signed the Memoradum on the Friendly Exchange between Quzhou, the People's Republic of China and Sumgayit, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
September 16, 2005
A congratulatory letter was sent from Sumgayit Government to congratulate the 20th anniversary of Quzhou Municipality.
